Advance tickets are recommended for best availability. Members may use their membership cards for anytime admission. Corporate partners and other Museum affiliates are encouraged to book complimentary tickets in advance. The Whitney accepts card payments online. Both card and cash payments are accepted at the Museum.

Location

Located in Manhattan's Meatpacking District—steps away from the Hudson River Greenway and the West Side Highway—the Whitney is easily accessible by bicycle, car, and public transportation.

Get directions

The A, C, E, and L subway lines stop about six blocks from the Museum at 14th Street and 8th Avenue.

There are numerous parking garages in the area including three ICON parking facilities nearby, at 99 Jane Street, 134–36 Jane Street, and 385 West 15th Street.

Bicycle racks are available in the front of the Museum, and Citi Bike docks are located at the southwest corner of Gansevoort and Washington Streets.

This sit-down, indoor/outdoor dining experience on Floor 8 extends onto the Thomas H. Lee Family Terrace, where visitors can enjoy spectacular views of the New York City skyline. Stop by for a coffee and pastry, quick snack, glass of wine, or lunch. 

The cafe on Floor 1 is temporarily closed for renovations. The cafe will move into the Studio Bar & Cafe on Floor 8, offering visitors the same menu and walk-up service. Additionally, please see neighborhood restaurants that offer discounts to Whitney Members and same-day ticket holders.
