Whitney Signs tours enable visitors to experience the Whitney’s world-renowned collection of modern and contemporary American art in American Sign Language (ASL). On Whitney Signs tours, a Deaf educator leads a gallery tour in ASL. Whitney Signs tours take place each month, and are always accompanied by a free wine and cheese reception in the Laurie M. Tisch Education Center.

Advance registration is required. Check-in is on Floor 1. Due to a limited capacity, we do not allow ASL students to attend.

These tours are in ASL and do not have voice interpretation. To request interpretation for voice interpretation, ProTactile, International Sign or any other accommodations, please email us with two weeks notice. Contact accessfeedback@whitney.org or call (646) 666-5574.

Private tours in ASL are also available upon request with three weeks notice. Learn more.
